Chaque panneau, fixé sur un grand mât, est conçu comme un assemblage de débris et de fragments issus des vestiges matériels et militaires du conflit. Cette approche formelle accompagne un récit détaillé de l’évolution de la bataille tout en signalant les différents emplacements d’objets exposés et de vestiges technologiques et géographiques témoignant de son histoire.
A memorial trail and wayfinding system tracing the key sites of the Battle of Dien Bien Phu. Each sign, mounted on a tall mast, is designed as an assemblage of debris and fragments drawn from the material and military remnants of the conflict. This formal approach supports a detailed account of the battle’s progression while also marking the locations of exhibited objects and technological and geographical remnants that bear witness to its history.
